Scenario

In a corporate diversity training manual, a sentence reading 'Managers tend to hire people who are like them, which is why diversity suffers' could be flagged for assuming causality and generalized behavior. Bias Checker would suggest rephrasing to 'Research suggests that diverse hiring practices may enhance by broadening the criteria for candidate evaluation.'

Example

Offering alternatives that maintain the original intent of the message but in a more neutral, fact-based manner.

Scenario

In an article discussing climate change, the phrase 'Climate change deniers ignore overwhelming evidence' might be revised to 'Some skeptics of climate change question the interpretation of the evidence,' to present a less biased viewpoint.

Example

Improving clarity and reducing bias by eliminating forms of the verb 'to be.'

Scenario

A business report stating 'The strategy is effective and the best option' could be transformed to 'Evidence suggests the strategy works effectively compared to available alternatives,' making the statement more empirical and less assertive.
